Job Description

Clayton Services is searching for a Receptionist to join a thriving company in Spring, Texas.

The Receptionist will be responsible for front-desk operations, administrative support, light accounts payable assistance, and maintaining professional common areas within the organization.

Job Type: Temp-to-Hire

Pay Rate: $16.83 – $17.79/hour

Receptionist Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact by professionally greeting visitors and answering incoming calls
  • Route calls, visitors, mail, and deliveries to appropriate departments and personnel
  • Provide administrative and clerical support to leadership and staff
  • Prepare basic correspondence, forms, and reports as assigned
  • Assist with scheduling, calendars, and coordination of meetings
  • Support light accounts payable functions, including invoice tracking and data entry
  • Maintain organized electronic and paper filing systems
  • Set up and prepare conference rooms for meetings, trainings, and interviews
  • Assist with meeting logistics, materials, and basic technology needs
  • Stock and maintain kitchen, break areas, and shared spaces
  • Monitor supply levels and communicate reordering needs
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive company and employee information
  • Assist with special projects as assigned

Receptionist Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills
  • Professional demeanor when interacting with visitors and internal staff
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Basic understanding of accounts payable processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently while supporting a team environment
  • High level of discretion when handling confidential information

Receptionist Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 1-3 years of receptionist or administrative experience preferred
  • Prior experience in an office or professional services environment is a plus
  • Ability to lift and move supplies up to 25 pounds as needed
