About the Role

A growing transportation and logistics company is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive After Hours Operations Dispatcher to support our fleet and customers during evenings, weekends, and emergency situations. This vital position plays a key role in ensuring smooth operations after standard business hours.

What You’ll Do

• Monitor and support all after-hours activities for company and contract drivers.
• Communicate load requirements and updates to Business Leaders and Customer Service.
• Respond to inbound driver communications via phone and Qualcomm, updating ETAs, PTAs, load statuses, and other key information.
• Identify and escalate operational discrepancies to appropriate leadership.
• Track driver performance and report any retention concerns.
• Assign and dispatch loads in compliance with hours-of-service regulations.
• Monitor freight movements, address service disruptions, and resolve issues as they arise.
• Support accurate billing and accessorial charges through proper communication tracking.
• Maintain real-time visibility on customer shipments and ensure updates are provided as needed.
• Document after-hours incidents, including safety and maintenance-related issues.
• Coordinate with internal teams using email, EDI, and company platforms.
• Prepare and communicate detailed shift handoffs to ensure operational continuity.
• Perform additional operational duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (college education preferred)

Experience:

• 2–5 years in truckload operations, military leadership, or a supervisory role in a related field
• AS400 system experience is a plus

Work Environment

• This position will be performed in-office
• Flexibility is essential – weekend and night coverage is required
• Schedule is: Monday through Thursday 2:00PM - 10:00PM, Friday 12:00PM - 8:00PM, & Saturday 8:00AM - 4:00PM
