Overview
Pathology Assistant — Pathology position in Grand Forks, North Dakota, United States. Start date: 11/02/2026. This is a travel - temporary assignment lasting 13 weeks with guaranteed 40 hours per week. Shift: 8-hour days. Hospital setting with a focus on surgical specimen preparation, gross description, and support ofPathology services. One opening.

Responsibilities
- Maintain accuracy of patient identification on all specimens processed for microscopic examination.
- Perform surgical specimen dissection on simple to complex cases and provide quality material for routine histology studies; obtain pathologist input for gross specimen analysis when appropriate.
- Conduct frozen sections and maintain cryostats; dictate complete and accurate gross descriptions.
- Communicate findings and results in a timely, professional manner with pathologists and providers.
- Ensure proper maintenance of equipment, supplies, and the cleanliness of the gross cutting area and morgue; dispose of tissues and reagents per procedures.
- Perform quality control and routine preventive maintenance; keep gross bench procedures manual current with CAP compliance review.

Requirements
- Completion of NAACLS-accredited Pathologists’ Assistant Program
- ASCP certification or exam-ready with certification prior to start date
- Preferred: prior grossing experience
- Ability to perform duties under supervision of a pathologist and in an on-site hospital pathology setting
- Eligibility to work in the stated location and to participate in a travel assignment
