Job Description

Careerscape is recruiting a Remote Data Analyst for our client — a fast-scaling technology company based in Atlanta. This 100% remote opportunity is ideal for a curious, numbers-driven professional who enjoys digging into datasets, building dashboards that people actually use, and helping the business make smarter decisions. If you love writing SQL, spotting patterns in data, and translating analysis into plain-English recommendations — let's talk.

Responsibilities

  • Work side by side with teams across product, marketing, sales, operations, and finance to turn open-ended business questions into structured analytical work
  • Write sophisticated SQL — joins, CTEs, window functions — to pull and shape data from relational databases and cloud warehouses
  • Design and maintain dashboards and reports in Tableau, Power BI, or Looker that expose the metrics leaders care about
  • Run A/B tests and experiments to quantify the impact of product launches, campaigns, and operational changes
  • Dig into datasets through exploratory analysis to surface trends, anomalies, and growth opportunities
  • Partner with data engineering to automate recurring reporting and strengthen data pipelines
  • Audit, clean, and document source data so that reporting stays accurate and definitions stay consistent
  • Translate findings into crisp, decision-ready recommendations for business leaders
  • Help define KPIs, set targets, and track performance across functions
  • Run cohort, funnel, retention, and segmentation analyses to explain customer behavior
  • Collaborate with analytics engineering on improving underlying data models and shared metric definitions
  • Expand self-service analytics so business users can answer more questions without pinging the data team

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience as a data analyst, business analyst, or in a comparable analytical seat
  • Strong SQL skills, including comfort with complex joins, window functions, and common table expressions
  • Hands-on experience building dashboards in Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or a similar BI platform
  • Working knowledge of Python or R for ad-hoc analysis and automation
  • Experience querying modern cloud warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or Databricks
  • Comfort with Excel or Google Sheets — pivot tables, lookups, and more advanced formulas
  • Grounded understanding of statistics: hypothesis testing, regression, and significance
  • Bonus points for experience with experimentation platforms, product analytics tools (Amplitude, Mixpanel, GA4), or marketing analytics stacks
  • Exposure to dbt, Git, or modern analytics engineering workflows is a plus
  • Excellent communicator — able to translate technical output into business context
  • Self-directed in a remote setting and able to juggle priorities across multiple stakeholders

Benefits

  • Competitive base with bonus eligibility
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Flexible PTO plus paid holidays
  • Fully remote setup with flexible hours
  • 401(k) plan with employer match
  • Budget for professional development and certifications
  • Home office allowance and equipment shipped to you
  • Team offsites and a connected virtual culture
  • Growth track toward Senior Data Analyst, Analytics Manager, or Data Scientist
