About the Role:

As a Registered Nurse within the skilled nursing facility and short-term rehab industry, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care across diverse clinical settings. Your primary objective will be to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to promote optimal health outcomes for patients of all ages. You will collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care, advocate for patient needs, and educate patients and their families to support recovery and health maintenance. This role demands a compassionate, detail-oriented professional who can manage complex medical situations, including wound care, while maintaining patient safety and comfort. Ultimately, your work will directly impact patient well-being and contribute to the overall effectiveness of healthcare delivery.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the United States.
  • Completion of an accredited nursing program (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Demonstrated experience in direct patient care and medical/surgical nursing.
  • Strong knowledge of nursing care principles, patient advocacy, and clinical documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate of Science in Nursing degree.
  • Advanced certifications such as Certified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (CMSRN).
  • Experience with wound care.
  • Previous work experience in a hospital or acute care setting.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) (PCC) systems and patient education technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care, including assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive care strategies.
  • Advocate for patient rights and needs within the healthcare team to ensure individualized and ethical care.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Support medical/surgical nursing care as required by patient demographics and clinical settings.
