Elwood Staffing is seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance associate to perform a variety of essential repairs and maintenance tasks related to apartment and homes.

Maintenance - 1st Details:

• Temp-to-Hire position
• $21.00 / hour
• Full Time work available
• First Shift ( Monday through Friday from 07:30am to 05:00pm )

Full-time, Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM

• Execute semi-routine and diversified maintenance duties related to the upkeep and repair of buildings and grounds.
• Perform journeyman-level carpentry work, including fixture installation, and general woodworking tasks.
• Conduct minor plumbing repairs, such as fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and maintaining fixtures.
• Address basic electrical issues, including replacing outlets/switches, and performing light fixture repairs.
• Undertake painting projects for surface preparation and touch-ups..
• Operate and maintain a variety of hand tools and equipment safely and effectively.
• Respond to maintenance requests promptly and efficiently to support a safe and operational environment.

Maintenance - 1st Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of and skill in applying knowledge in plumbing, heating, carpentry, painting, and mechanical equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings and technical documents.
• Ability to perform complicated building maintenance tasks of varying difficulty independently. 
• Knowledge of tools and methods to be used in a wide range of building maintenance work.
