This position partners closely with Clinical Operations, Project Management, Finance, Legal, and Procurement to develop study budgets, negotiate vendor and site agreements, and ensure financial accuracy throughout the lifecycle of each study. The role helps ensure that protocol requirements, operational considerations, and regulatory expectations are accurately reflected in all budgets and contracts.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare, review, and negotiate agreements including Master Service Agreements, Work Orders, Clinical Trial Agreements, confidentiality agreements, and contract amendments with CROs, vendors, and investigative sites.
  • Build and validate comprehensive study budgets covering CRO services, site costs, milestone schedules, pass-through expenses, laboratories, imaging, clinical supplies, and ancillary vendors.

  • Maintain accurate contract and budget documentation within designated tracking and management systems.
  • Review and reconcile vendor and site invoices against executed contracts, approved work orders, and completed milestones prior to finance processing.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by supporting standard templates, tools, and process enhancements for budgeting and contracting activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • 2–6 years of experience in clinical trial budgeting, contracting, or vendor financial management within a pharmaceutical, biotech, or CRO environment.
  • Hands-on experience negotiating site, CRO, and vendor budgets and agreements.
  • Working knowledge of clinical trial operations and key cost drivers such as monitoring, procedures, assessments, visit schedules, and laboratory services.
  • Familiarity with ICH-GCP guidelines, regulatory frameworks, and financial compliance standards.
  • Strong communication, analytical, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

BENEFITS

  • Opportunity to gain high-visibility experience across Clinical Operations, Finance, Legal, and Executive Leadership.
  • Direct exposure to strategic budgeting decisions and vendor negotiations that impact study success.
  • Professional growth within clinical development and financial governance, expanding expertise in both operational and financial aspects of trials.
  • On-site team environment that encourages collaboration and hands-on learning.
