Role Overview Inspector role at the Columbus Engine Center, inspecting engine components and validating configuration to support jet engine assembly and maintenance. Work location: Onsite, 8801/8987 Macon Rd, Midland, Georgia. Eligibility: U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorised to access certain necessary systems. No security clearance is required. Key Responsibilities Use a variety of tooling and precision measurement equipment to inspect engine components and validate proper configuration. Provide complete and accurate documentation to support engine assembly and maintenance. Meet production and inspection goals for the facility. Complete and review technical documentation, including Fits and Clearances, Engine Inspection Reports (EIR) and SAP records. Review engine package documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance. Support a team-based environment focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence. Requirements High school diploma or GED equivalent. 3+ years of experience in a mechanical, manufacturing, maintenance, quality, inspection, aviation, military or other technical environment. Licences & Qualifications Preferred: Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Licence, Powerplant (P) Certificate or Repairman Certificate. Preferred: FAA 8130-3 authorisation, with experience issuing and signing FAA Form 8130-3. Experience Preferred: experience within engine overhaul, inspection or repair. Preferred: proficiency using precision measuring tools. Preferred: strong ability to identify and resolve configuration and compatibility issues. Preferred: familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma or RTX's CORE Operating System. Preferred: experience using Microsoft Office applications and SAP. Additional Information FAA safety-sensitive role: Pratt & Whitney Columbus, GA is an FAA-regulated facility, and this position is considered safety sensitive under FAA guidelines. Candidates are subject to drug and alcohol testing as a pre-employment contingency and to ongoing random testing as an employee under FAA regulation 14 CFR part 120 and 49 CFR part 40. Role type: Onsite. Employees in onsite roles work primarily onsite; this includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of the engines. Commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee's personal responsibility.
