Goal: Control seating, manage the wait, and own first impressions

Pay: $12–$14/hr

Key Job Descriptions:

• Greeting — Every guest acknowledged within 15 seconds of walking in
• Seating — Seat correctly — right section, right server rotation
• Waitlist — Manage waits accurately — no guessing on times
• Communication — Keep servers and the floor updated in real time
• Energy — You set the tone — warm, fast, and focused every shift

Do This (Daily)

1. Greet — Acknowledge every guest within 15 seconds of entry
2. Update — Refresh wait times every 10 minutes during peak
3. Communicate — Tell servers a table is ready before seating them

Do This (Weekly)

1. Chart — Review seating layout with Service Manager
2. Flag — Report any recurring flow or layout problems

Avoid This

1. Phone — Personal phone stays away during every shift
2. Dirty — Never seat guests at an unclean or unready table
3. Guess — Inaccurate wait times drive guests out the door

You're Out If: Caught on personal phone during service two times in one month
