Job Description

We are seeking an experienced ETL Tester with 4 6 years of experience in ETL/Data Warehouse Testing, SQL, data validation, and integration testing. The candidate will be responsible for validating data pipelines, ensuring data accuracy and completeness, and identifying data issues across source, staging, and target systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute ETL test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts based on business and technical requirements.
• Perform ETL/Data Warehouse testing across source, staging, and target environments.
• Validate data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
• Develop and execute complex SQL queries for backend data validation and reconciliation.
• Perform Source-to-Target (S2T) validation and verify data mappings and transformation rules.
• Validate data completeness, accuracy, consistency, and integrity across multiple systems.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and system testing of data pipelines.
• Identify data discrepancies and perform root cause analysis in collaboration with developers and data engineers.
• Validate data transformation logic, business rules, aggregations, joins, and calculated fields.
• Execute data reconciliation between source and target systems.
• Analyze ETL job failures and validate successful execution of batch/data processing workflows.
• Log, track, and manage defects using JIRA, ALM, or similar defect management tools.
• Prepare and maintain test plans, test cases, defect reports, test execution reports, and RTM.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, Data Engineers, and QA teams.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and provide QA status updates.
• Support production validation and post-release data verification when required.

Required Skills

• 4 6 years of experience in ETL Testing / Data Warehouse Testing
• Strong hands-on experience with SQL
• Experience with ETL testing and data validation
• Strong understanding of Source-to-Target mapping
• Experience validating data transformation and business rules
• Experience with functional, integration, and regression testing
• Strong knowledge of relational databases
• Experience with defect management tools such as JIRA/ALM
• Good understanding of SDLC/STLC and QA methodologies
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, SSIS, or Azure Data Factory
• Experience with Snowflake, SQL Server, Oracle, or similar databases
• Experience with Python scripting for data validation/automation
• Knowledge of Data Warehouse concepts and dimensional modeling
• Experience with Cloud data platforms
• Experience with API testing
• Experience with CI/CD and automated testing frameworks
